For many of us ladies who have entered the second half of our lives, the best gift on Mother’s day often is to hear from our probably quite adult offspring and that they are doing ok. But if our children or anyone who appreciates our mother’s status would like to mark the day with a gift of appreciation, I’ve put together some ideas that may inspire. Feel free to add to the list, it is by no means exhaustive.
1. A TRAVEL VOUCHER
This of course, only applies to those of us who have itchy feet and love exploring the world whether domestic or abroad.
2. A GOOD BOOK
To go with the travel voucher maybe? As a guide destination book or just a holiday read.
3. HAIR AND BODY PRODUCTS FOR ETERNAL YOUTH 🙂
I’ve compiled a list of products that are very popular with us ladies around and beyond the 50s all year round. Let me give you the reasons why:
The Crown, aka our precious hair. With hormones all over the place at this stage of a woman’s life, hair maintenance and care can be challenging or even frustrating. If the Mom in your life mentions any changes in her hair, here is a suggestion to strengthen and nourish it.
- NEW NORDIC Hair Volume™ Shampoo 250ml
contains apple, apple cider vinegar and amino acids which repair and thicken the hair by giving it volume, density and moisture. It smells divine with a hint of coconut, like a summer breeze.
Silicone and sulfated surfactant-free and mineral oil (paraffin) free. Gives volume, density and moisture.
- NEW NORDIC Hair Volume™ Conditioner 250ml
Contains apple, millet and amino acids which weightlessly repair the hair by giving it volume, shine and softness. Free from Silicone, Sulfated surfactants, and Mineral oils.
A great combination for that “me time” hair care experience. If safe to do so, this combo is a great addition to NEW NORDIC Hair Volume tablets. But best to ask first, if a supplement is desired or add a Gift Voucher for personal use after Mother’s Day.
COLLAGEN – HIGH PRIORITY FOR YOUTHFUL LOOKS
New Nordic Collagen Shot™ is a one-a-day liquid marine collagen ready-to-drink sachet, which can
help improve skin elasticity and reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
Now, who would not like to see this happening?
I’d say, this will definitely be a winner. With its €35 price tag, moms might put it on their wish list, intending to buy it one day. Some of the key benefits include:
- Fits effortlessly into an everyday beauty routine
- Contains premium freshwater marine collage combined with precious 500mg Acerola cherry Extract (Vitamin C), which aids with the absorption of collagen and helps maintain your body’s own collagen production.
- Mainly women over 40 years will appreciate this as they might be seeing more fine lines/wrinkles
- Who doesn’t want to improve skin firmness and elasticity?
- Leaves skin feeling well moisturized and is easy to take in its handy liquid form.
(Does contain ingredients from animal source)
HAND CREAM – THE PRACTICAL GIFT
A mother’s hands are always busy doing something. This takes its toll on a woman’s hand and therefore a good quality, silicone-free natural hand cream will always be appreciated. One of those products…..
Suggestions include:
Dr. Hauschka Hydrating Hand Cream Weleda Hand Creams Natura Siberica Hand Creams
4. FLOWERS, DON’T FORGET THE FLOWERS
So underrated. But flowers will always brighten up a home. Maybe get the fairtrade or organic ones as they are not laden with pesticides and many other chemicals.

I was born in 1965 in Nuremberg, Germany, to a German mother and a Turkish father. Growing up in a blend of two rich cultures gave me a deep appreciation for food, farmers, and the traditions that nourish us—though I didn’t fully realize this until much later in life.
So how did I end up as a health store owner?
Well, life has a funny way of guiding us toward our purpose.
In my early 20s, I worked in export for a well-known sports company in Germany. But I had a dream of living abroad. That dream led me first to Ireland, then to Australia, and eventually back to Ireland—where I’ve made my home ever since.
